PACIN (Pan-African Credit Intelligence Network) provides consent-based credit intelligence to authorised institutions through our platform and APIs.

Account data: sign-in identifiers (such as email), role, institution link, and security or audit logs from your use of the product.

Scoring inputs: identifiers and attributes you submit for analysis (for example phone, national ID, or business IDs), optional profile fields, and files you upload outside the API.

Technical data: request metadata, timestamps, endpoints, and diagnostics we need to run and secure the service.

Institution staff act under their organisation’s instructions. Before sending individual data for scoring, the institution must have valid consent or another lawful basis, and keep records of it.

We use service data to deliver the contract, meet legal duties, and protect the platform (security, fraud prevention, and reliability).

We keep data only as long as needed to run the service, meet legal requirements, and handle disputes. Periods can differ by data type and your institution’s settings. Ask us if you need a schedule.

We use access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring to protect data. No system is risk-free. Institutions should use least-privilege access and strong authentication.

We do not sell personal data. Hosting and similar vendors may process data under contract. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect PACIN, our users, or the public.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to complain to a regulator.

When PACIN acts as a processor, individuals should go through their institution’s privacy process first. We help institutions meet those requests as required by contract and law.

Data may be processed where we or our vendors operate. When a transfer needs extra safeguards, we use mechanisms that applicable law allows.

We may update this policy. Important changes will show in the product or by email when that makes sense. Keep using the service after a change only if you accept the update, unless the law says otherwise.
