Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of PACIN (Pan-African Credit Intelligence Network) products, websites, and APIs. By signing in or using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your institution.

The service is offered to authorised institutions and their designated users. You must provide accurate registration information, safeguard credentials, and promptly notify PACIN of any suspected compromise.

You will not misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or scan systems without permission, overload infrastructure, or use PACIN in violation of law or third-party rights.

You remain responsible for all activity under your account and for ensuring that data you submit complies with applicable privacy, credit-reporting, and financial regulations.

PACIN and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, software, branding, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, PACIN grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Scores and intelligence outputs are decision-support tools only; institutions make their own credit and risk decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither PACIN nor its suppliers shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Aggregate liability for direct damages shall be limited to fees paid to PACIN for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, where applicable.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to the platform, or legal requirement. You may stop using the service at any time; provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.

We may modify these Terms or the service. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires otherwise.
